I'm afraid I didn't get to any of the mentioned pubs, but never mind. I did have quite a few pints of Deuchars IPA, which was on cask at the Beehive in the centre of the shopping area. It was a nice refreshing ale from Edinburgh. They also had black sheep and another bitter on cask, but I stuck with the Deuchars as it was 3.8% and considering how much of it I drank, it was a real life saver, as it was a long day. kind of regretting that I didn't try the other two, but there you go. I was also in the baltic fleet which is a brewpub down by Albert Dock, and had possibly one of the worst pints of cider ever. There was definitely somthing dodgy about it, and it wasn't just a roughness. Had a nice summer ale there though, so that made up for it.

I can't find my map I got for Liverpool but here is what the local Camra guys gave me.

'For Liverpool, there is the city area (Ship & Mitre, Dr Duncan's, The Dispensary, The Roscoe Head, The White Star...) while in the area near the Anglican Cathedral, you could visit the Philharmonic, Fly in the Loaf, Ye Cracke, Peter Cavanagh's, The Swan...'

I got to most of those. Some were really good and at worst some were good. All walk-able too.

Actually here is the top ten they recommend I try to visit.

-Lion Tavern
-Ship and Mitre
-White Star
-Thomas Rigby’s
-Philharmonic
-Belvedere
-Fly in the Loaf
-Dispensary
-Dr Duncan’s
-Baltic Fleet

I think we made all bar the Dr Duncan's.
