Washington D.C.? 16 years 3 months ago #1

Heading over next month for a long weekend, any personal recommendations?
The Brickskeller

seems to get wojous reviews for never having a lot of the beers available but looks worth a go.
This place is tickling my fancy as beer and pizza is always good

As I'm travelling with unbelievers (well not totally fair they do like craft beers) any recommendations on any pubs at all would be welcome. Will be staying near Columbia Heights metro station if that helps.

Hmm... well I loved DC but I was only there for a day trip a few years back.

Only beer place I went to was a brewpub. I can't remember what it was called and beermapping.com is not providing me with anything that rings any bells.

If I remember correctly it was not too far from the Spy Museum though. Some nice beers, a very goo banana bread beer and a lovely dark beer which I think was a stout or porter but it was a long time ago and I was still pretty new to craft beer at the time.

yeah might be hitting the spy museum (though deciding on which museums to hit is almost as difficult as deciding which pubs to try) this one is now looking like it's well worth a visit

I've been twice, it's a SUPERB city for beer and indeed sightseeing.

I liked The Brickskeller, it's cheap and cheerful and they do say they have the most beers available in the world but often they don't have what you want so always have two or three brews in mind when ordering.

I was in one of the places you mentioned above

It really was very good and it was in Georgetown.

Have a great time!
