B & C 16 years 4 months ago #1

Hi guys, looking for some feedback about B & C (only independent views allowed ). Myself and the two lads I work with are looking for somewhere for a xmas night out. I have persuaded them that a night of sampling different craft beers in the B & C would be good. However I have one problem, we also want food, and I have never been to the B & C, is the food good? We're not looking for michelen star stuff, just some nice steaks would go down a treat.

Any thoughts appreciated.

Yes it's good. You'd probably need to book a table downstairs. Upstairs I've only had platters in a group.

I tried getting the work crowd to try different beers.......I ended up having to drink four bottles of Belfast Lager

I thought the food there was pretty decent, although I've only been there for lunch. I'm pretty sure they don't serve food upstairs. Only complaint I had was that the seats downstairs aren't the most comfortable - try to get one of the tables with benches if you can.

thanks for the replies. So is upstairs the bar and downstairs the restaurant?

Upstairs is the beer hall, while downstairs is the restaurant and (possibly) bar. There were people just having drinks there the one time I've been in the downstairs part, but it might be different if you go at peak time.

I'd say you'll want to book it as soon as possible. It can get very busy.
