TOPIC:

Wales: Cardiff or Llanelli - where to stay? 16 years 5 months ago #1

Heading over to watch the Leinster Heineken Cup game (it's as close as I come to the dreaded stuff) on Dec 12th, flying in and out of Cardiff, but the game is in Llanelli; I have the option of stay in either, but would prefer to stay wherever the choice of beer is better.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
K

Ken, I would imagine that Cardiff would be a mile ahead of Llanelli in terms of beer. You could get a decent pub crawl there; 14 or 15 pubs listed in the Good Beer Guide (2007 version). Llanelli not listed, and Swansea not a whole lot better.

stayed in Llanelli before, in a camper van in their rugby club's carpark....good times....quite a few good boozers around that had a good choice of ales and only a short walk to cardiff city...personally though i'd just book a Novotel or a Park Inn in the centre...makes more sense
