I had meant to post this earlier in the week but forgot. Thanks to Kenmc for the reminder.

I went to the gents on my way out of Porterhouse Temple Bar on Sunday afternoon, where I saw this sign -- the only place it was visible:

I had been sitting at the little bar right next to the cask on stillage and there was no indication that there was anything in it.

So now you know: Plain is on cask. And at room temperature. Yum yum.

That is great. I always wondered what plain on cask would be like.

I wonder what the sales of said cask was like; given the level of promotion!

I was in last night with some colleagues, and I saw the cask was still there and asked if it was still alive ( it was dead TSB last time I was there with TBN) since there was nothing on it/near it/above it to indicate that it was anything other than empty. Sure enough she says "Plain". We drank 6 (and 1/2 - don't ask) pints fairly swiftly after that. It's glorious. Might go back for another actually since today is my last day in work in town.

So apparently Oyster has just been and gone on cask. Hophead is to replace it from today.

Yep, tried it. Very tasty. I wonder Hophead will stand up to Goods Store IPA ?
