A bit of tippex and some spare time late at night should sort this problem out!! [/quote:33z7305b]

I think I would rather leave the signs. They are far more varied and interesting then the homogeneous bland drink these pubs sell.

It's "Whiskey Bonder" that annoys me. I wonder which pub was the last to actually bottle whiskey.[/quote:33z7305b]
There are still a few pubs that have their own whiskey. But all I know are from stores rather then bottled on site.

I would rarther see the words "finest & Bonder" as opposed to "most refreshing beer or King of beers". Both options are full of fasle claims, but one seems nicer..... i don't know why...

As for bars with their own whiskey, i would love to see a bottle with the bar family name. Full and unopened, it would be worth a few quid.

I have seen bars in the north with their name on bottles form bushmills, wether they are bonded or a branding stunt i don't know.

I'm heading there today and will look into this.

I have a good one. There's a pub on the Phibsborough road, between the fire station and Doyle's Corner, (can't remember the name off hand) which has something like the usual "Fine ales and Stouts" sign, but also claims to be a "Hop Store". Must pop in and pick up some Goldings, at some stage.

Edit: Doyle's corner, not Hanlon's.

There's a pub on the east end of Pernell St, also with the claim "hopstore". Altough i wouldn't go in and argue the case with them <!-- s:lol: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_lol.gif" alt="" title="Laughing" /><!-- s:lol: -->

The name of it is the hop house, it's bar and a korean restaurant....not so sure about where the hops come in, but it makes some really really good food.
