I was in on friday night too.... was a whole section reserved by the window.

Was there from around 8-9 or so, yeah quite quiet...

They still have Miller though I think, and of course, Guinness too. I love when in the Porterhouse some muppet comes in looking for Bud, and the barman goes 'Never heard of it!' <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt="" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) -->

well i managed to snag a six-pack of the lesser spotted goose island ipa in ballyroan <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt="" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D --> , it's actually the nearest offie to me but i'd not been in until tonight (only moved back to the area a few months ago and the last time i'd been here it wasn't up to much) the offie is called uncorked and they've a great selection of belgian beers too, chimays etc and a few others i hadn't heard of 'maandruus' or something like that. the goose island was cheap too, only 2.75 a bottle, i also got some white shield ipa which ahem 'paled' in comparison with the goose, reckon it'd be nice if tasted separately. anyway the goose is amazing, as thom said we all succumb eventually. think he had a few more 6 packs left.

finally made it into B&C last night for dinner with the girlfriend. I was impressed. The only odd thing was that she ordered a Sam Adams and was served it with a glass of ice??? still good atmosphere and great beer,

What time were you there Fergal? I was there from abuot 6:30 upstairs, and was joined by Séan about 7, and then Níall at 8:45, and TheBeerNut was close by. Although you probably wouldn;t have wanted your girlfriend to meet so many beer geeks at once <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt="" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D -->
