Bierhaus Cork Summer Festival 19th-21st June 16 years 10 months ago #1

Just see on the Bierhaus website their summer festival is on next week-end/

Unfortunately I have not been there for over a month due to work/study commitments (over now T.G.)

Always a good festival and well worth going to. Not sure when I will go yet but most likely will try to pop in on Friday night and again on Saturday as I can't make it on Sunday.

If anyone fancies goine next Friday evening or Saturday early evening I will probably be there then too.

No details re beers yet.

Just a little beers update re the above -

The following will be the guest beers on draught during the week-end

White Gypsy stout - probably MM Porter
Belfast Lager - making its debuit in Cork
White Gyspy Bock - apparently a modified version of the one which won Beer of the year in the PH Festiva - - a lower alcohol level than the previous bock I am told.

A rotating European beer tap (limited stocks so only one at a time) including the following - Vedett White, Maresdous 8 and Svythury's Dark beer

Large bottle menu - upto 25 guest bottles but list not finalised yet.

Lookimg forward to trying some interesting and different beers this Friday evening and most likely Saturday afternoon / evening as well.

Doors open 5 p.m. Friday,
2 pm. Saturday and Sunday

Music each night - see website

I was in Bierhaus Friday nite and Saturday afternoon.
Great draught selection with guests as listed previosuly plus with some of the regular house beers plus great bottle selection.

I really enjoyed the MM Stout, MM Bock (5.6%), Belfast Lager (my first time having in on draught and really good it was too - making its debut in Cork!) and Vedett White which I never had before - hogaardenish-like - lovely summer drink in my opinion.

Great bottle selection of summer ales from Goose Island, Fullers, Anchor, as well as Meantime IPA and new arrivals from Hook Norton and Batemans amongst others.

I relly liked the Old Hooky (brown ale) and Dark lord from Batemans.

A really great selection and great atmosphere as well. I expect some of these beers will be available beyond the week-end until the supplies are gone.

Well done Dave again on organising a great festival.
All the hard work appreciated.
