Good Off license in Bandon 17 years 1 month ago #1

Im staying in Bandon at the moment and was looking for some good beers. I tried O' Donavans and they had very little.

My friend suggested Carry out so I went there and hit the Jackpot! There are so many beers I have never seen before and others I have heard of but never seen. There was plenty from Fullers, Whychwood and Shepherd Naeme.

I got two Fullers Reserve figuring I would want to keep one once I drink it.

I was only able to buy a tiny fraction of what they had on offer.

Earlier today I bought some O' Haras stout, Red, Bishops Finger, London Pride and honeydew as well as a 6 pack of Brooklyn in Tesco Wilton.

Oh the Carlow beers are on special, buy two for €4.50 or something like that, basically you get €1 off the price of two bottles. This is probably in all Tesco stores that stock it.

[/quote:25bggecj]I'm not sure that's bioligically possible but you may want to get in training with bladder strenghening exercises <!-- s:wink: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_wink.gif" alt=":wink:" title="Wink" /><!-- s:wink: -->

Is this the Brewer's Reserve? I thought it was very enjoyable and much nicer than the Innis & Gunn attempt.

I am currently enjoying a London Pride, I gave the Honey Dew to my friend figuring he would like it and he does, he even likes the London Pride so hopefully I have a convert away from Coors light.

Carryout offlicences are all either owned or supplied by Galvins wine merchants in Cork. I was in their home branch on Bandon Road last Sunday. They do have a pretty good selection as you say. I noticed there last week they had a special ofer of three bottles of baltika for 5 euros - many different types of baltika in stock including porter, wheatbeer, premium lager etc. I had the Baltika porter a few years ago and liked it very much. Glad you are enjoying your visit down to this part of the world!!!
