London Real Ale Pubs 17 years 2 months ago #1

Hi All,
Has anyone got any recommendations for a few good pubs in London with real ale that might be worth a visit? Am going for the weekend with herself and hope to slip in to a few pubs for a few cheekys while doing the sightseeing thing. So central London recommendations would be great.
Am staying with friends in Kilburn.
Has anyone been to the Greenwich Union pub, linked to Meantime brewing?

Thanks

I've really not done any of the famous London beer pubs, since so many of them are outside central London. I would second the recommendation to use Stonch's map, but be careful of pubs that don't open on weekends. I think the Gunmaker's is closed then (if you weren't going for a weekend I'd have thrown in The Jerusalem Tavern, owned by the St Peter's brewery).

For a good beer selection in the centre (Covent Garden, basically), The Harp is excellent. The Museum Tavern in Bloomsbury is good too -- usually a Theakstons or two on draught.
