Had a few on friday night with rebel - great value this past week-end as per Mosioni's post - 4 euros per bottle of almost all beers there including Barbar, Rochfod 10, Sierra Nevada, Utenos porter aand hommelbeer wiivh we sampled!

Kapitel Pater (probably spelt wrong!!) guest on draught at the moment - did not have same yet.

Also picked up a bottle of Brewmoon Darkside Stout from New Zealand in the offie - looks interesting. 3 other brewmoon beers, pale ale, IPA and another I cannot think of off hand in stock.

Broomfield Brown Ale. Not great.

I definitely think someone should start bringing in Leffe 9°. It's streets ahead of any of the others in the range.

Gordon's Finest is a weird one. Looks like a fine 10% ABV Belgian beer, but is really a Special Brew clone dressed up in fancy clothes. It used to be called Kestrel Superstrength in the UK and is damn near undrinkable (though I managed).

Is the Leffe 9 the one that tastes like a proper Belgian ale?

I ordered a Leffe for my wife while on honeymoon because it stated standard Leffe on the menu and thought she would be able to handle it. When it arrived it had major Brett character and was very nice indeed, to me at least. I got to drink two beers at that sitting.
