I really like the list of pubs that stock craft beer you fellas have put together and seem to remember off licences being included somewhere on the original thread (although I may be mistaken).

In any case, I'm back in Dublin a week now, work sorted, rental deposit on somewhere to move into in Churchtown and ready to start building up some good beer stock. I'm looking for good off licences in the South Central area of Dublin - Dublin 6, 6W, 12, 14.

I've heard Redmonds in Ranelagh is good, but not sure about anywhere else.

Any suggestions?

If there isn't already a wiki of Ireland's top off licences could we start one? It could be split by zonally - Dublin South, Dublin North, Cork, Galway, Limerick, Midlands - that sort of thing.

Basically, Redmond's reigns supreme in that area, though Deveney's in Rathmines can also be relied upon. If D Six in Harold's Cross is on your route it can be worth calling in to.

Just got back from Redmonds - very nice indeed.
Tonight's beer will be Sam Adams Boston Ale, 12€ for a six pack (and a bottle of O'Hara's Red for good measure).

Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't. Last I saw the Boston Lager and Ale are both six-pack only, but Sierra Nevada Stout and few of the other more specialty ones are sold individually as well.
