Schneider (a dry-hopped weissbock) will be supplied to the Bull & Castle today. Whether it's the one made by Garrett in Kelheim or the one made by Hans-Peter in New York is unclear.

Speaking more factually, the B&C is currently stocking Augustiner Weissbier, Witte Trappist and Achel Blond. Irish Coffee Porter is still on, and growing on me. I think I managed to detect the oak chips yesterday.

Just hope the use a little more hops than their IPA.

Redmonds have the Hopfen Weisse in stock at around 4.70 a bottle... they had about a dozen when i was in on Thursday evening.

I picked it up in McHughs today; I'm drinking it at the moment and I'm quite taken by it. The hops don't jump out but they're in there balancing the banana/clove at the end and they do come through in the aroma. I'm glad to see the alcohol is not too obvious, you would never guess it was 8.2%. Way too drinkable really, especially compared to Aventinus. It's as well I only got one bottle. Did it go down well in the B&C?

I wonder if this had been created by the Yanks alone would it have been rubbished as another attempt by them to turn every beer into an Imperial hoppy monster? With Schneider being involved I'm sure that won't be the case.

It was a curious concoction. The sediment seems excessive and I can't think of a reason for it. I think I might grab a bottle if I see one around and attempt to drink it without quite so much sediment in it.
