Heading across next week for the first time this year. Anywhere new to try in Dublin or anywhere easily reached on public transport? Thanks

When were you last here?

August last year.

I don't think there's much new. Fidelity has expanded into a restaurant next door. The same company has opened a new bar on Thomas Street called Love Tempo. A group of pubs around Fade Street -- Drury Buildings, O'Regan's and others -- have beer from the Smithfield Brewing Company, though I'm not sure if it's actually producing its own beer yet. There's now a regular cask ale at The Porterhouse, from Hopkins & Hopkins. And Against the Grain is gone.

Thanks. Where is Hopkins & Hopkins? Also, thinking of going somewhere on the Dart, perhaps Malahide, Dalkey or Blackrock. Which would be best?

H&H is on Bow Street, just up from the Jameson museum.

None of those suburbs are especially good for beer but Dalkey has nice pubs.
