Nice. Be sure and get a good rummage in De Bierkoning too, especially if you're bringing checked-in baggage.

Got chatting to the lad who runs the shop across the road from Gollem last night

Scottish lad, Andy, knows Les Howarth! Said he'll be posting here, cos he can ship all over europe, so hopefully this will be another good source of good beer.

Ooo, Rasputin. I've heard it's amazing.

High prices, though: €1.99 for Budvar and €2.20 for Guinness SES. I'd expect to pay about half that in the Netherlands.

I like your pricing standards. Budvar and guinness! <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D --> still a shit load cheaper than ireland anyway!
not been in the shop yet, but it's open till 10. bierkoning is only open until 8, so it's a bit more awkward.

No, those prices are within a euro of what you'd expect to pay in Ireland. €1.59 for a Westmalle Dubbel is more like it, though still more than you'd pay in a Spar, IIRC.
