Cask stouts in Dublin 10 years 1 month ago #1

Trouble has produced a chocolate and vanilla milk stout as a collaboration with Coisbo. Called Coalition, it's mostly destined for Denmark but there's a cask on at The Black Sheep at the moment. It's really good: lots a chocolate milk luxury. They had lost the badge when I was in earlier so you may need to ask for it.

I noticed next to it there was a handpump badged Brehon Oatmeal Stout. I didn't try it, but as far as I know that's new too.

And for the southsiders, Leann Folláin is currently on cask in Gasworks.

How does Coalition compare with Worlds End?

On a similar note, Wetherspoons real ale festival starts tomorrow up here. They have O'Hara's as a guest brewer this year with a slightly altered cask version of O'Hara's Red. Not sure if it's on down south as well?

Sweeter, creamier and a lot less boozy since it's only 5.6% ABV.
