Sorry to resurrect an old thread but if anyone is in rome you should definitely check out Ma Che Siete Venuti A Fa'. Actually stumbled upon it by accident while wondering around and recognised the name. They had 2 hand pumped cask beers a danish porter(Ølfabrikken porter) and another but cant remember now, and about another 8beers on tap,a triple, a "hop head", doppelbock, podges Imperial stout and more. Also loads of interesting bottles and theres no problem tasting stuff before deciding what you want

Yeah, that's already mentioned above. It generally tends to be the first bar mentioned in any thread about "Where's decent to drink in Rome?" - and is the one sodding place I didn't get to go to because my friend wouldn't trek all the way over there "just for beer".

Know it was mentioned but just thought it was worth giving it a definite thumbs up!

Yeah, it's a bloody great place. I went there a few times when I was in Italy earlier this year. At the time they had two beer engines and ten taps, all serving craft beer.

Absolutley raging I didn't know about this place 5 years ago.

I studied in the city for 10 months - was living on the other side of town so I doubt I would have been in there every night, but at the time my only craft beer experience was The Porterhouse (which I was sorely missing).

Talk about a missed opportunity

At least it's another reason to return
