Some slippery marketing in having the Japanese flag on a beer from a brewery in Guam - territory of the U.S. of A.

However, the beer was brewed in the U.K., like all 'Spoons festival beers, and the brewer who flew to the U.K. to do (oversee?) the brewing is Japanese himself, so I'll allow it.

Yes, thinking about things like this really is part of my day job. <!-- s:| --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_neutral.gif" alt=":|" title="Neutral" /><!-- s:| -->[/quote:3fer4d07]

Brewer's Low Blow is a nice, hoppy session IPA. Had the Nogne Oatmeal Stout but wasn't very impressed with it. Disappointingly the Diamond in Derry still hasn't gotten any festival ales in yet. Stephanos was there last weekend and they had none and it was the same story yesterday. Pure UBU amber ale from Purity was in fine form though, in absence of the festival beers.

Anything new in ice wharf? Thinking of heading to Belfast on Sat nxt weekend for last day of fest

Popped back into the Ice Wharf last night. They had the pump clips for Zulu blonde ale(SA) and No18 Yard cherry porter on but the Zulu had run out and the porter was pouring too high. Had a Little Creatures Pale Ale instead.

That John Bull Stout is delicious. Nogne one too thin for me. Red Racer IPA also a highlight.
