In the 40ft atm. That smoked porter from Guam (the country) is tough going!

We had a Japanese smoked porter [Ishii Brewing]!

They must have a mate in Bord na Mona!

Took 10 minutes to get rid of the phenols from the palette.

BTW: The Old Boro have done a fantastic job cellaring and serving the casks on offer. Brilliant quality

Guam, Will, Guam! Half way between Japan and Oz. Suspect the ingredients weren't locally grown.

Some slippery marketing in having the Japanese flag on a beer from a brewery in Guam - territory of the U.S. of A.

However, the beer was brewed in the U.K., like all 'Spoons festival beers, and the brewer who flew to the U.K. to do (oversee?) the brewing is Japanese himself, so I'll allow it.

Yes, thinking about things like this really is part of my day job. <!-- s:| --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_neutral.gif" alt=":|" title="Neutral" /><!-- s:| -->
