Not familiar with the scene there, but will hopefully be moving there in the medium term.

I know it's Mormon country but there does seem to be some progress on the craft beer front, with a few microbreweries complete with "tap rooms" in operation. Their laws in practice seem less restrictive than ours!

Anyone any words of wisdom?

Hmm, could have sworn there was another post here.

Anyways a colleague is just back from SLC and has been giving out that "that f'ing craft beer is everywhere". 20 odd brewpubs and breweries (who serve beer part time) in a city with the population of Cork doesn't sound too bad.

Oh, and there's a home brew supply shop too that sounds familiar <!-- s;) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" title="Wink" /><!-- s;) -->

The only beer from Salt Lake City I've had is Uinta Wet Hop session pale ale... Just this month.

It was a very quaffable 4 per cent ABV or so.

Enjoyed it!

Uinta have just announced a major expansion, including the launch of sour beers.
