Out with my cousin earlier for some food and drink in Celbridge. Not somewhere I'd normally go as it's awkward to get to, but he was driving. Got talking to the manager in the place we were in, and apparently a brewpub is coming to town. He declined to say who/where, but I'd heard stuff recently anyway so I'm thinking there is substance.

Here's hoping. You can never have too many brewpubs!

We are looking at relocating Rye River Brewery to Celbridge with a fully licensed Restaurant and Beer Education Centre plus the original Visitors Centre we had planned for Kilcock.

The total space would be around 40,000 sq ft including the brewery.

There is also talk of The Mucky Duck changing to a craft beer pub but the receiver refused the offer.
