Best pubs in Dublin for whiskey tasting 11 years 5 months ago #1

Hi

Have a work colleague who is going to be showing some friends from abroad about Dublin for the weekend. She says they are big whiskey buffs who would be keen to try as many different types of Irish whiskey. Not my area of expertise at all, so can anyone advise?

If you're making a recommendation, thanks- but let me know if they should look to book in advance. Thanks

Geoff in the Headline does whiskey tasting trays and has a pretty decent selection, from what I remember. You'd not need to book but if you phone ahead and let Geoff know I'm sure he could set aside some time to talk them through the whiskeys.

Also The Palace on Fleet Street is extremely decent. And of course, Bison.

Porterhouse Central (Nassau St) also have the newly opened Dingle Whiskey Bar next door. Not sure what it's like but I'd assume the staff there must be reasonably clued in.
