Well even with the merged threads you may still be going mad...

(Sorry, I did search for 'Cock and Bull' before posting a new thread, but only got results relating to the Bull and Castle.)

[quote:2ifcvdcg] Woot, finally able to have a pint, in a pub, without going into town![/quote:2ifcvdcg]

Harry Byrne's isn't that much farther down the Howth rd and has 5 Irish craft beers on tap (another on the way too), worth considering if Raheny is handy for you.

As I'm Clontarf based I'll certainly venture up to check out the Cock and Bull (if they keep the chain name).

Hopefully they change the name, lots of local opposition to it. I saw a bit of anti Cock and Bull graffiti on the hoardings today. Then again, The Station House had a bit of a name, so a change may not be the worst.

What's the problem with the name?! The phrase "Cock and Bull" gets nearly 700,000 Google search results. Is it the inclusion of the word "cock"? Do they get woken in Raheny by "male hens"? <!-- s:lol: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_lol.gif" alt="" title="Laughing" /><!-- s:lol: -->

The problem is the popularity of it, it is very generic, nothing local about it.
