Just want to comment on how good O' Neills of Suffolk Street is. Great bar and they are the only bar in Dublin to serve Old Speckeld Hen on draft. They also have a a decent rotating cask too. Great bar and very good atmosphere. Bar staff are very good in particular Bruno the manager and Martin one of the main barmen there.

Barmen have ranged from indifferent to surly for years - has that changed recently?

What are the prices like?

They're charging feckin 6.05 for White Gypsy blond the last day I was in!

Probably has the biggest selection of Irish beer in the country but the problem is that the staff very rarely try to encourage people to try it so the pub is inevitably full of Diageo drinkers and the craft taps end up being mingin or they don't bother restocking them for ages.

In saying that, there's normally a good atmosphere and nice music on. The Molly Malone statue has been moved outside it now so I'd say the number of tourists going there is only going to increase.

Old Speckeld Hen on draft is €5.75. Never had any issues with the barmen i know in there they do change staff alot but never any problems. Always get great customer service from the manager and main barmen downstairs and upstairs. Old Speckled Hen tap is usually sold out quick never had a bad pint of it in there. You cant get Speckeld Hen anywhere as far as i know in Dublin. The cask in there too is popular and usually sold out. Cask is around €5.60 last time i got one in there. True theres a lot of regular drinks on draft but theres a decent selection of craft ale too and they have a great breakfast deal and carvery every day. Food is top quality. Its always a very popular spot for tourists.
