I'd be drinking as much cask as I could. The pubs I mentioned, and the others The hanging Bat and Holyrood 9A will spoil you for choice!

Had a look at the Stewart Brewing website and I'll indeed check out their beers,hopefully some of the specials will be on somewhere.

The plan is to drink as much cask as possible, not in a gettin' steamed way, more of a when in Rome way. The plan is try as much local or localish beer cask/keg/bottled and the same goes for the whisky and food.

Cheers for the help guys <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D -->

Hanging bat, red squirrel and cloisters all near haymarket station
Brewdog bar on cowgate
Holyrood 9A handy for tourist attractions plus good food too

So many decent pubs, depends on your beer wishes!

Myself and TBN will be there from Thursday and I'll try and get him to the ones you brought me to Steve. Hanging Bat and red Squirrel in particular.
I feel another Haggis Burrito in my near future.

All of the above mention bars are great!, Check out rose street, plenty of traditional brittish pubs on the street, try a pint of Deuchars pale ale from cask. Delicious!! Its available everwhere!!, locally made i think!

Tis a shame I'm not heading over this week,would have enjoyed meeting up with ye for a pint and a chat,you lads could bestow onto me some serious beer knowledge.

I'm intrigued by this haggis burrito business,where could a man procure one of these?

Cheers mate. I know Deuchars well, I used to drink it while living in England all those years ago and have to say I am looking forward to old faithful..
