I agree with wayneibs. They are soulless. Only a few spoons in Scotland play music. They have large tv's showing Sky sports new, but no sound. maybe that's one reason why they can charge so little for beer. Between £1.70 &2.50, depend on which pub you go to.
I think the novality of spoons, with the real craft drinker may wear off, because of the soulless poor quality or the ale.
Where I stay, in Hamilton, Spoon's had planned to open a pub in a old variety hall several years ago. The local licence board (via the the owner of the local big discothèque) were against it. Because of the 'cheap booze encouraging binge drinking'. Then what happened, the owner of the discothèque was in talks with Spoons, about renting them space in their complex. All in the name of money (In my view)
