I'm actually flying out of Shannon to the US on Sunday, and not back until the 16th, so won't be around while you are here, otherwise I would have met up with you. If nobody posts on here, head to the Fransiscan Well, Bierhaus or abbots, and you should meet some likeminded people. If you are around early afternoon, maybe head into the F Well, and see if there is any brewing going on, and I'm sure one of the brewers would be up for a chat. Now that I think of it, the Lee Valley brewers are doing a club brew in the F Well on the morning of Saturday the 14th, so that would probably be a perfect opportunity to meet people on the local scene.

There's a brewing course going on at the Fran. Well this week, and Thursday night they tend to stay on and "sample" all night, so that would be a great night to head in and meet some friendly beer enthusiasts. I'd say get there around 5pm so you don't miss them should they move to another pub as the night progresses.
