Ive used these a good bit for home brew and if you do it right ya can get nearly 2 kegs from the same co2 bulb.

A tip...
You know the long black rod that plunges in through the bung, make sure this is always screwed onto the tap part tightly. If you need to turn the tap as you are trying to plunge it into the bung make sure you always turn it against the threads in the black rod. If the black rod comes lose you will lose gas.

Also, when i do need to add a co2 cartridge i only turn the co2 dial up until i can hear the co2 going into the keg, no further - when the pressure goes and the keg's not empty - i turn it up a little more. When its not in use, and i have a co2 cartridge attached, i turn the co2 dial down all the way. If the co2 cartridge is not empty when your keg is empty, you can transfer it to the next keg. turn the dial off, pull the tap out and tap the new keg.

I'm still on second keg and second gas cartridge. I pop in a squirt of gas as needed then back off the reg to zero. Seems to work.

As I also have a cylinder of C02 in the garage does anybody know of an adapter that will allow me to conect a gas line onto the regulator ( ie replace the CO2 bulb and the black plastic thingy with a screw on fitting that has a push fitr gas line at tother end) ??

If so then great - if not may just have to spin up the lather in the new year

i would say its very un-likely that there is an adaptor.
I have contacted the manufacturers (baggles' post above is correct, fass-frisch are the manufacturers) in germany and on 2 separate occasions they have posted me spare parts, free of charge. Talk to them, they may be able to help you.

Only started using my one of these this week, and am very happy with it. Nice smooth flow from the dispenser, better than the 'beer king' type tap IMO. Haven't really tried out the cooling side of it yet, but maybe when the weather gets warmer!
