Yeah, i could be interested in some hop bags, can you give us more detail on size, materials used and even a photo of a prototype. I was playing around with stainless mesh for dryhopping in but it's a royal pain in the arse and too much risk of sctatching the cornie internals.

Hi Ale man,

The material is Voile which is curtain material, the modern version of a net curtain, which is the standard material being used by the BIAB crowd and in Irish cailins communion veils. Size and dimensions are to order if you have a size in mind. My BIAB bag is not the best to show as the prototype as it's not overlocked, which means the seam is not a fancy professional type seam (it's in the wash from the weekends BIAB so I might put it up later). The wife only got the overlocker after my one had been done. I am making one for Eddieken first off so I'll do that and then put a pic up of that one and that will give you an idea of build quality.
For smaller hop bags I would stitch a ribbon to the outside instead of putting a lace through as a drawstring as with the BIAB bags.
When it comes to it, I will either ask people what dimensions their vessel has or for something like a hop sock I'll just make up a standard size unless you want something larger.

Thanks Eoin, standard cornie size for me, I can see a good demand for these. I does love me hops <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D -->

I'd be very interested in getting a couple of these if possible.

Ok I want to get this together properly then.

As said they will be custom made where necessary.

What I have so far is

IPA hop bags * 2
When you say hop bags, do you want large ones that fit your vessel snugly, or traditional small ones that will float about in the boil. If you want them custom fit for your vessel please give dimensions of the vessel height and diameter, also if it has an element in it tell me approximately how high the top of the element is so that the bag does not touch off it and burn a hole in it.

You want yours for a cornie, so I think what you want is like a traditional hop bag that will just fit into your cornie. I'd be doing this one without a drawstring and will work out some simple method for tying it off. I will also have a loop sewn into the bottom of this one to weight it down with something if you wish.

Let me know what you want, read above, see what you want exactly and then give me dimensions if necessary and I'll sort this out.

Prices will be according to work done and amount of material, but as said nothing will go below five or over the ten euros.

This stuff is pretty bombproof and won't suffer from the rot that happens with cotton bags, the one problem, if you want to call it that would be touching elements in boilers, I'd imagine the plastic will melt, so keep that in mind when giving your dimensions as we don't want issues with that. The bags will be marked with a tide line if you like where the measurement from the bottom of the bag to the line will be the safe distance to keep it from your element. It'll be clear once I put up a pic of my own which I'll probably do tonight.

Its 56cm tall & 45cm diameter; not sure how high the element is off the bottom - would guess 10cm. I can confirm later
