Yeah! some Stone beers are available in the UK and I could possibly stock a few. One big problem though, Sell by dates,
All/most of the Stone beers leave the brewery with only 3 months sell by date, they are very particular about freshness of their beers and all they allow is 3 months.
Given that it takes about 2 months to get the beers shipped from the West coast USA to UK, they land with only a few weeks to sell them , 'in date' at least.
Add shipping to Ireland , customs clearance etc.. they would be out of date by the time they land.
Now off course, I'm sure the beers would be fine and all, but it would just be very difficult to retail 'out of date' beer at the premium price that they would command.
Hence, their freshness obsession is the reason why they are looking to set up in Europe and hopefully they will <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt="" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D -->
