There certainly was an issue as the forum login was supposed to be syncing with the main site (forum and front page are essentially two different applications), but it was broke, which caused problems for Tapatalk. We turned that bit off until we can apply a fix, meaning that Tapatalk should be ok. At least I haven't seen any complaints since (till now <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt="" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) -->).

Can you describe what happens? Does it simply not log you in, or does it give a message of any sort?

It just says "failed to connect to forum, please check with administrator". I'm using taptalk version 2.4.13

I get that error on my phone, though it's fine on my tablet.

Might be barking up the wrong tree, but is it possible to clear the cache (if there is one) on the phone and try again? Perhaps something is hanging around from before we turned off the synced logging.

I deleted the app and installed the new version, if that counts. Same problem.

Meh. I'll talk to Andrew and see if we can apply that fix to the forum so the login works as we wanted. Let's see what happens then.
