Maybe scribbling a number on the cap, or getting the stickers, (round ones smaller than a cap)

I've seen others doing such things to mark their bottles!

Actually the more i think about it, is an App completely necessary?
I mean , I log the details of each brew on my 'notes' in FB and assign a free scan code to that link and incorporate the scan code on my label. Saves the bother of building an App. Still a label there I know but shure the cleaning part
of brewing just emphasises that there's plenty of glory in brewing but not much glamour <!-- s:lol: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_lol.gif" alt="" title="Laughing" /><!-- s:lol: -->

I wasn't looking to make any money out of the app.

The more I think about it the easier it would be to just either create a local web app to keep track of my details and try and find a source for "non-removable (even if dishwashed at 90 degrees!)" barcode lables for my bottles.

It would probably be easier to use QR Codes with web addresses embedded in them and call a website backed with a MySQL database.
