Just came across this. It would make a very interesting holiday destination.
Another slightly related link

I'm very interested in going there. And who knows, it might not be around for too much longer so I'd like to be able to say I've been there.

Wow. Some people are starving while others turn food into beer. Got to love that communist workers utopia.

Was planning to go there in September, but had to give it a miss because of work commitments. Here's to next year.

I know 3 lads who went over and said it was amazing. They travelled with www.regent-holidays.co.uk/country/north-korea/, who me and my mate plan to go with.

What about the "American Dream"? Spending trillions on wars and space exploration while people lie dying in the streets. I've never seen poverty like those living on the streets of San Francisco and I've been to a lot of places.

nearly every country has its terribly poor and in most a large amount living in slums or starving so i think its harsh that people nearly seem to single out DPRK. if they want to get their economy going then beer is a great start

if anyone is interested here is a great series that has two episodes travelling there

Regent Holidays in Bristol! Now there's a blast from the past!

When Una proposed to me and said "If you want to marry me it has to be in Havana!" I contacted Regent hols to organise the basics of the trip to Cuba!

After more years than we remember (Ok was the big two-five this year) we are still together thanks to Regent and Fidel.

I think a trip to DPRK is well worth it.

Last hols to somewhere which ain't the same no more:

Libya about 5 years ago! Brilliant day out ( from a cruise ship ) They have Roman ruins that are spectacular!!
