Four of the five yes votes were, coincidentally, publicans. About 19 abstained.

How could a cllr abstain on this vote? You either do or don't agree with it and your job is to represent the people who elected you...shameful carry on by those who pushed it through as well as by the 7 Cllrs sitting on the fence and the 12 who never even turned up!

I don't agree with the proposal of drink drive permits, but the point being made is there is no bus!! no taxis ranks and zero forms of public transport, and is very much a problem in rural Ireland if one enjoys a few pints at the weekend, options are some what limited.

Then shouldn't Kerry CoCo be looking at some form of initiative to startup these businesses? It sounds like there might be a demand for them...
