Damn, I missed this thread! If you're still in Sydney, you can't leave without visiting the Australian Hotel at The Rocks in Sydney - the cabbies know where it is - best list of beers on tap and in the fridge by a few light years....Grab some Hightail Ale and a pizza and enjoy a bit of Oz!

Cheers,
Rowan

Thanks for the advice, but I have been in South America since Dec 1. Now in La Paz, Bolivia, recovering from New Years celebrations in the Loki hostel and "knock on the right door to get in" Irish bar, which was a good laugh. More like a proper Irish bar at home than any I´ve seen to date. No tacky kitsch ornaments or fake old Guinness posters, just a couple of GAA jerseys and a fridge of beer. No pints, it´s too high here for it to pour properly apparently, just froths all over the place. Still, at a euro for 620ml bottle of beer, there´s plenty of scope for experimentation!
So tomorrow I´m off to cycle the worlds most dangerous road, and all going well I´ll be back in the land of the Hooker on 1st Feb.
All the best to all, hope ye had a safe and happy Christmas, and best of luck for 2008.
Cheers and beers
Kenmc
