well i hope i have your blessing oh god like and masterful ICB administrators seriously though any takers, there will be no links to your page from the homepage but you will have your own personal address such as www.ibrewmyown.com/anything you want
the homepage will be just explanatory and used for signing up for your own page, like i said its not a community of its own but could be used to give you a place to have it your way which could then be promoted through the many networking communities that you are part of. finally im looking at a no pay version but that would require a lot of subscribers and the possibility of ads on your page, ill let ye decide what way to progress.

Well, it's a free world, so you don't [i:3stuvknj]need [/i:3stuvknj]blessings from anyone

I had always hoped though that if people had tips and tricks, or techniques they'd like to share that they'd submit them to the ICB Knowledgebase, as having a one-stop-shop for Irish amatuer brewers is what we wanted to do with this. And general beer rambligs from the community is what drives the site. And I'm not talking about the community forum, I'm talking the content of the main part of the site. It's the lifeblood of keeping it new and fresh, so we'll always be looking to members to do their bit to share the love (and the occasional beer).

Having said that, it is a nice idea to have a personal "web presence" though (for some, others are more shy )

Now you know I didn't mean it like that! Naturally any professional craft brewer on this site is a gem of knowledge and experience to be treasured! I just wouldn't be bold enough to assume that they'd need a one-stop-shop like us. (pssst, but we do make more experimental brews as Séan said to me the other night, so maybe they could learn something )

And that goes to you professional brewers too!

with regards to your idea beernut the answer is yes, it is similar to word press, this is just an idea i had while bored at work, i kinda was just testing the water really, you have no idea how boring my job is.

maybe not a bad idea with some work, but maybe not for now, anyhow with respect to writing articles adeptus could i be made an author and how do i go about getting that status, i have ideas for some articles for beginners.

Heated? Hardly! BeerNut works on my bottling line, so his back-talk is well known

There are a couple of members who use blogspot, wordpress and other free services (and BeerNut is one prominent blogger).

Anyone can be made an authoor here by just asking, or by just mailing whatever they want published to the admin address. You're now an author! Take a peek at the FAQs about how to do it.

If you have images you want to use, I'm finding that using something like photobucket for larger images (and having thumbnails linkig to large images) is better than uploading photos to here, so that's my preference. I just need to add it to the FAQs.
