Of course I did! I've a 22 year drinking career and I've had them all in one go. I still have Guinness in one go a few times a year.

I've seen Liam Hanlon do it in one, but publicans tend to do it in two. In fact publicans have complained then even with two pours that it's still "too high".

Whenever I am out somewhere that only has Guinness as a choice (I do like Guinness when all else fails) I ask for it poured straight, no 2 part pour. It makes no difference to the taste as you would expect.

same, I usually dont mind waiting but when its busy and Im out with friends I just ask them to pull it straight. head isnt usually too big, it can be know and again...but then again so can the head on the lager. Down to the bar person I guess.

I think this is a theatrical thing as said above. Its so people believe they are getting a better quality pint/product. Which I think they will beleive. Just good marketing.

If it's theatre they're after, they should serve it at room temp, there'd be gawk everywhere
