So decided to go to Hilden this weekend. Whats the best way to gt there? Does the train go straight there?
Anyone recommend somewhere nice to stay?

You can either change trains at Portadown or go into Belfast and get one back.

Buy your train ticket (to Belfast) ASAP as the fares were €9.99 (each way) yesterday and rise as you get closer to the day of travel. They're €15.99 each way today, and will keep going up!

There's a station at Hilden Halt but coming back the connecting train will leave you waiting almost an hour in Lisburn for the Dublin train, so it's no real use. Just walk to Lisburn Stn from Hilden instead. It's about half an hour walk.

The other half has kindly volunteered to drive up so that's sorted. Accommodation booked. Happy days.

What a great festival. We drove up Saturday morning and got to the festival at around half 3. ( Free in before 4 )
Some very interesting beers and good music. Lots of don't fear the reaper and Black Betty.

Worked my way through a fair few of the beers but I think my favorites were Hildens own Twisted Hop and Ossett Dirty Rat.
Great festival that is a lot more intimate and family orientated than any I've been to before.
Will definitely be going up again next year.
