hi lads and lassies

off on a stags (surprise, surprise)
but we are oldies! well late 30's

so ive done some reading but has anyone opinions on
a few decent pubs to visit?
a lot of the lads like honest "spit on the floor" places,
im sure we will be in overpriced clubs later on
but it would be nice to have a few regular bars to start off in, i was there 6-7 yrs ago for a stag but (in clichéd fashion) i dont remember a bloody thing!

cheers

most of the Pubs in Prague will fit your bill as I recall it .

Then again though it's about 6 years since I was there too..

There's plenty of good beer-geeky pubs in Prague, but few I'd steer a stag do into. U Fleků[/url:3fyng8u2]'s worth a go though: they can handle big groups easily, it's fun and a little bit rowdy, and the house dark lager is pretty good. They keep on bringing it until you tell them to stop. Just don't take the Becherovka from the trays: it's very very not free.

You might get some use out of [i:3fyng8u2]The Pisshead's Guide To Prague[/url:3fyng8u2][/i:3fyng8u2] if you're stuck. Max knows his stuff, pubwise.

I was trying to see if I had been in U Fleku . and the street looked familiar on Google earth , so I went to the next corner and saw Charlies ( good spot for the expat , Czech beer and prices , Sky television in the Bar ) But it's small . ideal maybe for a few lads if they get lost as it's easy to find and near a tram stop where the late night trams all go .

We used to call there for one or two on the way round Prague .

U Stare Pani was the Jazz club we frequented , ( Its out the south end of Old town square , past the astronomical clock , up to the left down through the pedestrian walkway past the Sex Museum and keep walking for about 400 yards on the right , downstairs below a Hotel of the same name ).

I'm sorry I can't be of more help , but the last time I was in Prague is a two week Blur of Restaraunts , Bars , and Herna's in the Suburbs , culminating in one morning buying beers to take with us after the nights festivities in a corner shop while people were buying their kids lunches on the way to school .

Best advice is watch your wallet !!
