I see right below that: "I'll let the breweries know, make the public announcement and sort out trophies and the like."

My bad; it appears that we intentional and consciously let the breweries make the announcement. -I'll punish myself Dobby-style by ironing my hands.

Stupid jump-to-conclusions mat always gets me in trouble. ("Office Space" movie reference; if you haven't seen it you're missing out on something great.)

and any forum member can (could) vote - you dont (didn't) have to be a paid member of beoir.

There is a public announcement in the main public awards thread[/url:1n2u2jsm], along with an apology from me for it being a couple of hours later than it should have been. There is now an announcement on the front page as well.

All registered users on the site were eligible to vote. That's also in the same thread, first post.
