I did hear years ago that it was brewed under license in France but since I never hear of this french beer ever being mentioned I considered that it had ended. Might I suggest they call it "letts again Ruby ale",and see if they get some publicity by being asked to stop using the name <!-- s:idea: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_idea.gif" alt="" title="Idea" /><!-- s:idea: -->.
When the porterhouse in parliament street started up they called the 2 Largers they brewed "Wiserbuddy and Probably" and presented in the colours and print style of those other ones. The people at Diageo where not happy and demanded they change them (afraid that people would think they are better than their ones <!-- s:oops: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_redface.gif" alt="" title="Embarassed" /><!-- s:oops: --> ).They then ran a competition with the public to rename them to what they are called now.
The image of the big bully threatening the little fellow of course was not lost.

I know they have a bonded/distribution warehouse not far from me, prolly all owned by Heineken I suppose? Feck!
