Fair City Craft Beer 15 years 1 month ago #1

Was flicking through the channels the other night and came across Fair City which I never watch, but low and behold the scene was in a bar or restaurant and in the background on the bar were Rebel red and Galway Hooker taps. On the shelves were O'haras and Dungarvan bottles as far as I could see. Great product placement I thought, admittedly to a small audience. Anyone else see this?

The new bar is stocking all Irish craft beers!

Have a look at the picture here that shows some of the beers on the shelves:

I can confirm they've a Trouble tap installed too. Unless it was some sort of tap stealing swizz, in which case at least we'll end up on "The Real Hustle".

As an aside, I was nearly an extra on Fair City once, except that I couldn't be arsed and never showed up. Oh fame, you are indeed a fickle mistress.

I followed that link and I thought it was a real town I had never heard of; I was trying to find this bar because it sounded cool. I asked a co-worker where the town was and he said "Uhh I think somewhere around Blanchardstown...". (And he wasn't just trying to take the piss out of me.)

Imaginary beer bars in imaginary towns??... I'm so confused...

It's best to stick with the mainstream American brands: Heisler, Jekyll Island, Penzburg and Haberkern[/url:ekioabqu].
