Well guys,
I know there doesn't seem to be as many of us down west and the meet ups aren't working out too well! So I was wondering if any else wants to share their brewing knowledge! A mate of mine was helping me out with brewing but as with so many people he has now emigrated. I'm not getting the time to brew at all so not getting enough experience under my belt to learn how to improve and avoid the same mistakes! Bought stuuff six weeks ago to try my first AG but haven't had the chance yet. So I wonder how anyone would feel about meeting up or having an observer/helper on their brews, I'll bring beer as well! The website is a great resource but still no substitute for actually talking to someone face to face! Also, I have 4 batches bottled I'd love to get some feedback on. If this seems like a weird request... well I guess it is!

Since thehomebrewcompany.ie are running brewing workshops, perhaps Brian in Homebrewwest.ie would be up for doing something similar at his warehouse for the Galway members?
I can imagine if enough interest is shown then it would be a good idea.

Also good business sense and people are likely to want to purchase some gear after some brewing lessons. Brian does not have to teach it himself if he does not want to... Just provide the venue and another member could volunteer for the demo.

Hi i am based in Oughterard further west again. I have a new herms system i posted here earlier . I would be very interested in seeing the rims set up(capacity is about 60l as well). Last brew i had went south but i think that was a problem with transfer etc. rather than the set up. Dont get to brew every weekend or even every month. I have a little one and also involved in running which can eat away at the weekends etc.
How far is ballyvaughan from galway ?
