Hoping to head there also towards the end of the summer too, for a week, but only a day in Copenhagen.
My favourite was Norrebro Bryghus, in the Norrebro neighbourhood, but it sure is expensive, get some take away bottles there also. Also I want to go to the Mikkeller bar next time. Non beer, you must go to Tivoli World amusement park (they have a brewery also) for the rollercoasters. Oh and rent a bike, you get to all the bars quicker, enjoy. <!-- s:lol: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_lol.gif" alt="" title="Laughing" /><!-- s:lol: -->

My four, in order of priority, would be
Mikkeller Bar (don't look at the prices)
Nørrebro (for food and drink)
Plan B (don't look at the artwork)
Ølbutikken (an off licence, for beer to bring home)

Though BrewPub, Pegasus and The Lord Nelson can be substituted easily enough.

Locations are on Beermapping[/url:tanjhajn].

Did you say "Mikkeller Bar"?!?!? They have their own dedicated bar in Copenhagen??!? Woh, that sounds like a little piece of heaven.

I'd also suggest Den Tatoverede Enke and Charlie's Bar (which specialize in Belgian and English cask ales respectively) near Kongens Nytorv and easily accessible. Palae Bar is right near by and if you don't mind smoke while you're drinking and a slightly less exciting beer selection, then it can provide a more typical bar experience.

If you hit Ølbaren during Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday there are some 'Hoppy Hour' specials.

I would discount Charlie's because if you're coming from Ireland and want to travel for English or Belgian ale you should be doing it in England or Belgium. It's great for ex-pats in Copenhagen but I wouldn't send a beer tourist there.

Hey jspruit, I have 8 beer tokens left over from last years festival, if you want to try and see if they're the same this year if you're going along to the beer festival there. Let me know and I can post them over to you, not going to the festival this year , but i will be in Denmark for 6 days in August, spending the last night in Copenhagen.
