Not too hard: The Florence, The Horseshoe, The William IV, Brew Wharf, ZeroDegrees. That's your lot these days, AFAIK.

Now that sounds brilliant.[/quote:28kzcm4e]

Only 6 months to go We all went to college in the early 1990s (when you could get "a large bottle of phoeeeenix off the coooooler, boy") and Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, AIC etc etc were part of the daily diet.

Now, if you can get 6 weeks or so off work, you'll be just in time for the Great British Beer Fest :~)

IMO they do however lack the real charm of a friendly, old-fashioned local pub (as they are often big barns of places - all open plan).[/quote:1feb5zvp]
Only just twigged now that you were talking about Wetherspoons! Ya, that one sounds like it has a great selection of stuff I've never had, but as I said the decor, by the sounds of it, isn't my thing. However, I'm there for the beer firstly, and the chat secondly. If they work out, we're all happy. (Plus it has the huge benefit to being 3 mins walk from the hotel )

My IPA odyssey last summer led me to buying several cans and bottles of Greene King IPA[/url:1feb5zvp], both domestic (3.6%) and 'export' (5%). Surprisingly I took to the weaker stuff which is quite refershing out of the fridge and has the added advantage that I don't get pissed on it too easily!

Thanks. Just ordered a copy from Amazon. A shade under a tenner.
