Snap. I've never been as glad to be out of work than I was yesterday. Then again we are on the Dart and the other half had no problems getting to or from work yesterday.[/quote:15nazoiy]

Looking at the whether outside makes me glad in a way too, being an electrician alot of my work was on sites outdoors. I need something soon though, plan to be in Canada by the summer and dont really want to go over without a nice few yoyos in my póca

If either of you are interested in working in an off license give me a PM. I know a place fairly desperate for a full time member of staff at the moment. Some knowledge of wine is fairly important. The place is more wine focused with an unimpressive beer selection. I know working in an off license could well be a step back from what some people were working at this time last year if you were hit by the recession but it's still money in the bank and handy work.

Well, two hours to travel 20 miles this morning in Chicago as the snow dumped on us during rush hour(s). I've got a four-wheel-drive Jeep, but you can't go any faster than the line of less capable cars in front of you. Would've tried working from home except for a meeting at Argonne National Lab, and with tomorrow promising more of the same I've got another morning meeting then, too, this time with the state's Dept. of Transportation.

Here's how our local weather service pictures it:

Looks like a good day for a cold brew at home. I hope the meeting gets cancelled.

I was installing a server in Blackrock. I left about 5 and did not get to Blanch till 10.

It was mayhem out there. One thing I will say though is when I got the Phoenix park, it was pretty much not moving so when I found a spot to park I pulled in and walked to Ryans. In to FXB for some food and a half pint of Hooker. That kept me sane. A bit over an hour killed and traffic had marginally died down to the point where cars actually moved somewhat.
I still made it through the park without pressing the accelerator <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D --> I was using gear momentum all the way <!-- s:P --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_razz.gif" alt=":P" title="Razz" /><!-- s:P -->

Oh and I never made it home, gave up at Blanch and stayed the night. Westmeath would have been to far to get to in that traffic.
