Doing a beer trade... 17 years 8 months ago #1

I'm doing a beer trade with a friend of mine from the US. We have done one before and it went very well I have to say. The only problem I am having is what to send him! He has access to the majority of English/Belgian ales, and he is looking for something local, something he can not get there. I suggested O'Hara's stout which I feel would be a good bet, but was wondering what else to send. Any ideas?

bottle of Macardles?

you could send him a party keg of rebel-red if you don't mind paying for it. you'd probably hold that over him for a long time so best not <!-- s:wink: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_wink.gif" alt="" title="Wink" /><!-- s:wink: -->

Not to threadjack, but if anyone else might be interested, I would love to try some Irish craft beer, or english ales I mightn't be able to get out here.

I moved from Donegal to DC 8 years ago, so got into craft beers out here.

I have access to most craft beers out here as there is a massive craft beer shop about a mile from me.

For convenience, I could even have you send the beer to my mothers place in Donegal, as I'll be home for christmas, and I could get the beer to you from here.

This is the beer list from the local store. The first page is all the mass produced stuff, the next 6 or 7 pages are the microbrews.

Let me know if anyone is interested, and what beers you can get me (so I can make sure I don't have access to them over here)

Any of Carlow's beer's the Stout, the Molings, the Celebration stout or the Curim. Clothworthy Dobbin, Belfast ale and Belfast Larger are easilly accessable up north and should be arriving in Dublin soon

I was hoping that, I don't know if I will get up North in the next while, do you reckon it's a good possibility them arriving in Dublin? Can't get my hands on any O'Hara's Celebration right now, McHughs are out of it anyhow
