Slightly different angle here but I asked for a pint of Galway Hooker while ordering some food from a waitress in the porterhouse a while ago. The conversation went like this:
Me: <blah blah food>...and a pint of Galway hooker please.
Her: No...Sorry.
Me: eh???
Her: Just what's shown in the beer menu here..(helpfully pointing to said menu)
Me: So do you not have Hooker or....??
Her: (blank expression)
Me: Coz people are drinking it downstairs...
Her: ............OK then.
Me: <!-- s:shock: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_eek.gif" alt=":shock:" title="Shocked" /><!-- s:shock: -->
Me: I can go down and get one myself if you'd like?
Her: No that's fine.. I'll go downstairs......(and my favourite line)... it's just that I don't usually....
Me: Erm... cheers...

Otherwise I find most barstaff, in the pubs i'd frequent at any rate, to be pretty good. Though maybe that's why i frequent those places. <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt="
