Just saw an ad for this

Is there anyway to jerry rig these kegs? Can you put in your own beer or are the kegs not accessible?

hendrixcat Offline Posts: 1915	Threads about these have popped up quite a few times over the last year. They usually result in a debate about the best way to serve beer in general for homwbrewers. I like these particular dispensers and think that some forms of then can be adapted to different kegs. There's one called 'Princess' I think that we discussed and it seems quite practical for homebrew use.

kenmc Offline Posts: 1748	More to the point, trying to sterilize a 5l can and make sure there's no baddies left in there would be difficult. I reckon steam cleaning would be necessary. Filling it would be not TOO bad I think - they tend to have a reasonably large aperature at the top - about the size of a 2 euro coin. The only difficulty would be to know when to stop filling - it would gush out quickly....
