Anyone ever heard of this [url:sjghnlgi]http://www.aldi.ie/ie/html/offers/58_5223.htm[/url:sjghnlgi] as in, is it any good apart from having brown flip top bottles <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) -->

Are these the same ones that were on sale there last year? If so I think they got mixed reviews. Nice bottles.

The labels are different, but it could be the same beer. The bottles are very handy. I have around 20 of them from the last time this type of beer showed up in Lidl.

Oh great those look like they will be handy. Swingtops are very very useful <!-- s:-) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt=":-)" title="Smile" /><!-- s:-) -->

Swingtops are certainly handy, but these beers have the added bonus of holding 650ml, so less bottles are needed and it speeds up the bottling process. I wouldn't go putting a barley wine in them though, unless you're sharing a bottle.

If they are the same ones from the last time round, I recall that one of them was terrible (like someone had added paprika or something) and the other 2/3 were decent.

Found the bigger bottles to be deceitful and hence wouldn't re-use them for Poc-U-Like (The Honest Brewing Concern).
